OK…so I know Covid SUCKS EXTRA big time BUT…..for once, let’s chose to discuss some of the little joys in life that we may have forgotten about because we are feeling down 😫 during this pandemic. These little feelings of happiness are in no special order.
- Two words, TIKTOK (I know, really one)
- Finding that last White Claw in the back of the fridge
- Not having to shave or put on makeup every day…actually showering too if I’m being honest 😛😛😛
- The shortened commute from bed to the computer is a hell of a lot easier than schlepping on Metro-North 🚆
- Restaurants offering take out wine, prosecco, and margies with your dinner
- Seeing how happy your dog is that someone is home 24/7
- All the money you are saving on gas, you are spending on booze 🍷
- Cleaning your car and organizing your pantry are now considered FUN
- Being so excited to grab the last paper towel roll at Stop & Shop
- Watching Braveheart for the 700th time
- Spending EXTRA time with kids and partner (Also bittersweet, however)
- Being over-excited to actually see other humans outside of your family even if they are covered in a mask 😷
- Gaining back all those EXTRA hours from not cleaning your house because NO ONE is coming over
- Being super pumped to see what little present the UPS guy is delivering today 🎁
- When EVERYONE’S technology works on the ZOOM call that took you 2 hours to organize
- Perfecting your playlists
- Acquiring my Masters in Ebay and Poshmark shopping
- Making every single crockpot recipe known to man
- Your teenagers are forced to hang out with you
- All that sex you are having OR not having 🍌🌮
- Experiencing much less bad breath anxiety
- Hearing the most popular break up text reason for 2020 “Sorry, but I’m practicing social distancing”
- Imagining what I may say to all my long lost friends when the global party finally breaks out, “I haven’t seen you since the plague!”
- Wondering what I will wear to the living room today
- And last but not least, your pajamas have become your Haute Couture
