If there’s a certain style that never gets old, it’s an edgy outfit. I love mixing edgier pieces, like rugged booties, with more classic pieces like denim and basic sweaters for the ultimate cool-girl look. The two looks combined always look effortlessly chic, cool and comfortable. I wanted to share the edgy pieces I always keep in rotation during fall and winter.
Let’s Start with Simple Easy Tops
Start with some basic foundational pieces to ground your overall edgy look – sweaters and tees. Anything with a bit of detail is a BONUS.
Super Cool Pants
Pants are the key centering piece to our edgy outfit. Whether it be traditional denim, black jeans or leggings and YES – white jeans. Love winter white. Here are a few faves.
Biker Jackets
I’m a sucker for biker details. 🏍 Think oversized zippers, buckles, and lots of hardware. They’re the best way to inject some toughness to an outfit. This is a quick way to take off 10 years! YOUTHFUL!
Combat Boots
It’s safe to say that combat boots are one of my favorite shoe trends this fall. There are so many trendy options for under $200 right now.
The Winter Edgy Coat
The weather is about to get cold 🥶 here in Connecticut (eeks, snow ❄ this Friday!) , so then will I be reaching for something more than a biker jacket. Menswear-inspired coats always make the best layering piece because they look effortless and undone. Plus, they’re incredibly easy to layer over chunkier knits and even a leather jacket.
