As I am getting ready for this gorgeous day of lazy Saturday relaxing at my pool, I wanted to pull some tips together on how to look stylish at the beach or the pool. Sometimes getting together the purrfect beach or pool outfit can be difficult. I hope these come in handy for making that EXTRA splash this Summer and remember, never miss an opportunity to look cute!
1. Start off the Day with Some Exercise!
This will help so much psychologically to feeling your best for the day! If you’ve put in a killer workout before heading to the sandy shores or pool club, your body will be primed for meeting others and you’ll give off a better vibe without having to do anything. On top of this, your confidence will peak and you’ll be feeling great from the sweat you put in earlier in the day. So show off that hard work!!!#EXTRAsixpack
2. Don't Be a Sasquatch!
Before you slink into that swimsuit, let’s get rid of that body hair and I mean ALL of it! Clean up those pits and shave down those legs so they look sleeker in the sun! Remove your fuzzy lip caterpillar with this magic facial hair remover tool, no ouchies! And please, please, last but CERTAINLY not least, if you haven’t waxed, shave your bikini line moss. NOBODY, I mean, NOBODY wants to see this🤮. After you put on your suit, do a double check on this area to make sure there are no offensive straglers! #EXTRAyuck
3. Manage Your Coif!
If you’re someone who actually likes to have fun in the water or likes to get your hair wet, bring a brush for knots and a detangler. I’ve forgotten this before and ended up with basically a rat’s nest and that ain’t cute. Once I’m out of the water, I’ll brush out my hair real quick and then put it in a loose braid or top knot to control things. You can also tie it up with a thin scarf if you want to look like a super sassy.

4. Choose Your Swimsuit!
Decide on the style you are going for. Are you in the mood for Boho, Nautical, Sleek, Feminine, or Athletic? Do you want to wear a one piece, two piece, monokini or board shorts? Find your vibe for the day, what you feel comfortable in and what you’ll love. Try a new color: orange, kelly green, or yellow. Show off your personality; have fun with it.
5. The Cover Up Topper!
How many times have you gone to the beach/pool and just thrown on shorts and whatever tank? But since we want to look stylish, let’s think of some other options. I like to buy a couple coverups each season – whether a cute little dress or something like a tunic. Having actual outfits for the beach will make you look much more pulled together. Bonus points if that outfit can take you from the beach to drinks after or lunch, too – something I usually keep in mind because I’m always hungry after like three hours of laying out and drinking Beachies (beach drinks). #EXTRAeconomical 🤑

6. Zhuzh Up With Accessories!
Grab some beaded bracelets, a shiny anklet, and a long necklace to show off the girls! I love a straw bag with a straw hat for the beach. Use a straw tote to carry all the things and it’ll pull your outfit AND life together, ha! Pick up a neon beach bag or a casual linen satchel. Hats are key for looking vogue AND saving your face! Sunglasses are NECESSARY to keeping up your coolness mystique; pick a stand out pair.

8. Invest In A Cool Towel
Having a fab towel is always part of my beach game. I used to be the girl with a random towel or basically whatever towel I could get my hands on from my house, which is fine, but if you want your whole vibe to look cuter, this is where a good towel comes in. It doubles as a park blanket or an actual towel and it just pulls things together. No more bore snore towel under a cute swimsuit ha! #EXTRAboring🥱
